Podcast interview: Universities & NHS partnerships research

Jenna Luxon, a Social and Political Sciences graduate from the University of York, is joined by postdoctoral researcher Dr Emma Broglia. The two discuss Emma’s research into mental health interventions in higher education. The episode starts with Emma telling us about her recent research project exploring how university mental health services in the UK can strengthen their relationship with NHS services and the benefits of this collaboration.

Invited talk: Universities & NHS partnerships research

I presented findings from a research project that explored partnerships between universities and NHS mental health services including the launch of a toolkit used by the government and Office for Students as evidence to encourage universities to work with the NHS as part of a £15M investment.

I presented findings from the Student Counselling Outcomes Research & Evaluation (SCORE) project including clinical outcomes from university counselling, self-report academic outcomes from counselling, and findings from consultations with therapists.

Resources for personal tutors: Supporting students’ mental health

This resource includes a series of short videos coproduced with personal tutors, academics, and professional services to provide guidance on supporting students’ mental health. These videos are part of a larger toolkit developed to raise awareness of attainment gaps in higher education. This research was funded by the Office for Students.
